Twist open a bottle and poof! You’re lying on a beach sipping a coconut – just like that. Ylang ylang’s exotic, floral, sensual, slightly sweet aroma is uplifting and encourages deep breathing. It can reduce anger and tension while stabilising moods and is commonly used as an aphrodisiac.

Use in the morning as a perfume, and throughout the day to massage tension away. Use in the evening to wind down and drift to a delicious slumber.

  • Diffuse a few drops (less is more with this oil) to help you sleep and to help calm a busy mind.
  • Add a single drop to your bath salts to help relax all over achy muscles.
  • Create a floral massage blend to relieve everyday tension and stress, and stimulate circulation. Check out the full recipe here.
  • If you love jasmine essential oil but don’t want to pay the steep price, then ylang ylang is a great option. Some call it the “poor person’s jasmine”.
  • Use in your perfume and roller blends to add some sensuality and a floral punch.
  • Create an uplifting vibe to your space by adding 3 drops of ylang ylang, 3 drops of orange and 2 drops of lavender oils to a diffuser.
  • Create a hair and scalp oil treatment to increase scalp health, stimulate hair growth, and add a healthy shine. Check out the full recipe here.
  • Ylang ylang essential oil is strong; just a drop or two is usually enough. (Too much can become overwhelming.)

Farmed & distilled in Madagascar.
Hand-poured in Singapore.

Our certified organic Ylang Ylang Essential Oil is steam-distilled from trees grown in the forests of Madagascar. This farmer uses a biomass boiler during distillation instead of the traditional method of an open-wood burning system (which is used by most other distillers in the area). This greatly reduces the amount of wood used in the process as well as air pollution. They also use solar energy to power their offices and the distillery. No fossil fuels are used in the production process, and they even use zebu carts to transport materials within the plantation (instead of petrol-powered trucks).

My Pure Earth’s Ylang Ylang Essential Oil is 100% pure. And then some.

A little goes a long way!

Good with geranium and rice bran (carrier oil) as a skin moisturiser.

Very Calming

Ylang ylang was recommended for calming and better sleep. I’ve found that I’m sleeping without interruption when I put a few drops on a cotton ball and place in my pillowcase.
