Give your regular skin moisturiser a boost with this essential oil blend.
This facial moisturiser blend is perfect for mature, dry skin. The myrrh and frankincense will nourish and moisturise skin, gently reducing fine lines and wrinkles over time, while the palmarosa oil is known to improve skin elasticity. I like using a natural, fragrance free facial cream as the base for this recipe, but you can also use avocado oil if you prefer an oil based moisturiser. This blend is also a fan favourite for men.
This blend was created at a 1% dilution. I always recommend a small patch test to ensure there is no skin sensitivity.

Frankincense has a beautiful balsamic, woody, and spicy fragrance which supports clear, deep breathing. It’s a great oil to use during meditation to help balance the mind and is also known to balance and regenerate all skin types. Frankincense’s benefits are worth their weight in gold – if you own only one bottle of essential oil, make it frankincense. Three Wise Men, we see you.

What rhymes with purr and gets you in the same feel-good state? Myrrh has a resinous, balsamic aroma with warm, spicy notes. Its oil is very grounding, calms the mind, and encourages inner peace. Myrrh oil also helps support healthy skin and a glowing complexion.

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet as palmarosa. It has a floral, rosy, sweet, and fresh aroma and is a great oil to add to your skincare routine. Palmarosa is beneficial for all skin types as it moisturises, stimulates cell regeneration, encourages elasticity, and regulates the production of sebum.
Step 1 Combine the skin lotion (or avocado oil) with the essential oils in your glass jar.
Step 2 Mix well and apply to skin twice a day.
Step 3 This recipe is not recommended if you are pregnant due to the myrrh oil.
